This Thai dish is often off the tourist menu but ask for it as it is easy to make and most restaurants will indulge you or you can make it at home, I have successfully done that at home and it is so easy. You must leave the empty coconut in the microwave for a minute to warm it up or in the hot turned off oven for about 5 minutes , if you, like me, don’t have a microwave!!!! Beef Curry – Bangladeshi Style – Eid Special

Beef Curry is a traditional curry recipe in Bangladesh. Almost everybody likes Beef Curry.
It does not need any occasion to cook Beef curry.


1. Curry cut beef with bone – 1kg
2. Chopped onion – 1 Cup
3. Ginger paste – 2 tablespoon
4. Garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
5. Red chili powder – 1 tablespoon
6. Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon
7. Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
8. Cumin powder – 1 tablespoon
9. Garam masala: Cinnamon 2 sticks; Cloves 6 pcs; whole black pepper 6 pcs;
Cardamoms 6pcs; Bay leaves 2
10. Plain yogurt – 100gm
11. Sugar – 1 teaspoon
12. Salt to taste
13. Oil – 1/2 cup
14. Raisins – 1/4 cup
15. Fried onion – 1/2 cup
16. Whole potato – 6 to 8 pcs medium size

Serve warm with plain pulao, rice, roti, chapatti…. Enjoy!
