Butter Chicken Curry

Butter Chicken Curry is on tonight’s menu,  Is your mouth watering?

Butter Chicken Curry:

Yogurt Curry Marinade:
1 lb Chicken Thigh (sub with Tofu or Cauliflower or Chickpeas)
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1 cup Greek Yogurt.
Mix together and marinate at least 20 minutes.

In a dutch oven or cast iron pot, add
3-4 tbsp Olive Oil
1 Onion cut into chunks. Saute 2-3 min then add
4 cloves Minced Garlic
1 1/2 tsp grated Ginger. Stir again for 2-3 min.
2 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Turmeric
1/4 tsp Cardamom
1/4 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Cinnamon

Stir to toast up.

Add the marinaded Chicken, mix well for about 5 min on med-high heat.

Add 2 cups Crushed Tomatoes. Stir and simmer 20 min on low heat.

Add 1/4 cup (4 tbsp) butter
1/2 cup Coconut Milk from a can
Salt to taste

Simmer 5-10 more minutes to thicken.

Serve over Basmati Rice (I cooked it with frozen peas and carrots) and garnish with a sprig of Cilantro

Beef Potato Curry Recipe – Ground Beef Potato Curry

We have used a pressure cooked to get our beef super soft and tender for this recipe, it really is worth the effort. Onions, garlic, ginger, potatoes and wonderful spice make up this curry. Enjoy. Another curry from the how to cook great food stable of video recipes. We are crazy about curries, masala, rice, spices & all things tasty from around the world. It could be from India, Thailand, Pakistan, Jamaica, Bengal, Sri Lanka we don’t mind as long as it is tasty. Indian recipes, Pakistani food, Bengali curry, Jamaican curried, Sri Lankan hot pot we just love them them all.


  1. Heat oil in a saucepan.
  2. Add onions and saute till they start to turn a light golden colour.
  3. Add curry leaves, cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon stick.
  4. Stir and then add ginger garlic paste, methi.
  5. When onions are a golden colour, add tomatoes and stir.
  6. Keep heat at medium-high.
  7. In a small bowl, add remaining spices with about 1/4 cup of water to form a soupy mixture.
  8. Add this to the onion-tomato mixture in pan.
  9. Let the spices cook for about 3 min.
  10. Add meat and lower heat.
  11. Stir frequently to mix the spices in and to prevent the meat from clumping.
  12. Add a bit of water and potatoes.
  13. Cover and cook till potatoes are cooked
